Scientist Manola Brunet and professor Daniel Innerarity join Change the Change International Conference on Climate Change
Mrs. Brunet has been named recently President of the Commission for Climatology (CCI) of the World Meteorological Organization and whilst Mr. Innerarity is professor of Political Philosophy and conducts Globernance Institute for Democratic Governance. Half of the capacity for Change the Change Conference is completed and its organization extends early bird registration tickets at a reduced prices until December 31.
Change the Change International Conference on Climate Change will gather in San Sebastián on 6, 7 and 8 March 2019 some of the world’s leading climate change experts and today scientist Manola Brunet and professor of Political Philosophy Daniel Innerarity have been added to its program.
Manola Brunet is since April President of the Commission for Climatology (CCI) of the World Meteorological Organization, the agency that takes over the weather, climate and water of our planet. Mrs. Brunet is considered one of the Spain’s most hard-working person on climate change and she is the first woman in charge of the World Meteorological Organization, a institution created ninety years ago.
The climate expert will take part in San Sebastian at Change the Change in the sessions held on March 6th within the pannel named ‘Planet health: science for action’. She will be accompanied by Luis Balairon, Former Director of the Climate Change Analysis and Attribution Programme AEMET; Alejandro Cearreta, PhD in Geology and Professor of Micropaleontology at University of the Basque Country; Inigo Losada, Director of Research at the Environmental Hydraulic Institute of the University of Cantabria; Jose Manuel Moreno, Professor of Ecology at University of Castilla-La Mancha Rodriguez and Maria Jose Sanz, Scientific Director of the Basque Center for Climate Change BC3 as host. This panel wishes to address the scientific view of climate change. It seeks to pinpoint the challenges and where answers can be found.
Daniel Innerarity on the Sustainability thematic panel
Daniel Innerarity will take part at Change the Change on March 7th in the session of the pannel dedicated to sustainability, along with Cristina Gallach, High Commisioner for the 2030 Agenda of Spain’s. This session will be hosted by Marian Elorza, General Secretary for External Action of the Basque Government.
During this panel, we will learn about international progress in sustainability policies, the application of the 2030 Agenda, their involvement with climate change and the future global and local challenges facing us. Mr. Innerarity is a professor of Political Philosophy and Ikerbasque researcher at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, while he also conducts Globernance Institute for Democratic Governance.
Deadline to purchase Change the Change tickets at a reduced prices extended
Change the Change International Conference on Climate Change has nearly its half of capacity completed when we are three months away to its celebration. As positive results have been produced, the organization has decided to extend two more weeks the registration at a reduced prices to facilitate people’s interest to attend the Conference. Thereby, the deadline to acquire tickets with a discount is now December 31th.
There are three different ways to make registration. On one hand, the Regular Pass is valid to attend the conference for €130. From January 1st the fee will be €180. On the other hand, there are also more economic passes for several groups.
The Reduced Pass of €100 is applied to groups of 3 people who belong to a company or organization. The fee after early bird tickets promotion will be €150. In addition, there is a Social Pass of €75 for students under 30 years old and unemployed people. If they registrate after December 31, the fee will be €100.
The registration fees include conference materials, coffee and lunch breaks.
